Red Tiger launches new extraterrestrial-themed slot Clusterbuster

iGaming content provider Red Tiger announced the launch of a new extraterrestrial-themed slot, Clusterbuster, where the main character, Blobby, navigates his flying saucer to activate the game's features. “The mono, duo and many-eyed members of blobsters clan obediently follow King Blobby to wreak havoc on this side of the Milky Way,” said the brand, part of the Evolution group, of the game's background.

The Clusterbuster feature will help players in illuminating the lights around Blobby's UFO. Cluster matches appearing near the vehicle make the LEDs come alight: when all the lights are up, Blobby shoots around some progressively unlocking features. 

Once the central 3×3 cluster of Blobby's spacecraft lights on the disc light up, three progressive features jazz up the game.

• Upgrade, the first level of progressive features, turns randomly selected low-paying symbols into higher-paying symbols.
• The second level of progressive features, Frenzy, turns random symbols into Wilds, substituting for all paying symbols.
• The final level, Supersize, turns Wilds randomly into giant symbols, occupying a 3×3 space on the reels.

After all three features have been activated at least once, the next activation will take the player to Invader Spins, where all three features may randomly activate on any spin. When the Clusterbuster activates Blobby’s flying saucer during Invader Spins, players receive Multipliers and further Free Spins of up to 12x and 19, respectively.

The release comes a few weeks after the company launched its timed progressive jackpot games in Michigan. The online slots provider is the only supplier to offer timed jackpots in the US, according to a press release. 

This jackpot mechanic for online games allows operators to set up progressive jackpots that are guaranteed to hit before a certain time.
